Peugeot to recall about 240,000 307 hatchbacks

Peugeot will recall worldwide around 240,000 of its 307 hatchback built between 2003 and 2006.

Of the 2 million cars sold, 60 percent were affected, Peugeot confirmed today to Automotive News Europe sister company Automobilwoche.

Peugeot said the recall was due to insufficient sealing of the antilock brakes and ESP steering system. This could lead to a short circuit.

The recall is planned to start in Germany in mid-September, where Peugeot will have to check 80,000 vehicles.
