It is time for more recall news! This installment, we cover Toyota and an estimated 2.77 million vehicles worldwide that are being recalled for steering and water pump issues.

The large collection of vehicles includes 670,000 Prius models sold between 2004 and 2009 in the United States. The issue with the steering system involves deformed splines in the intermediate shaft. Dealers will inspect and repair the shaft if necessary free of charge. Of the 670,000 models being recalled for the steering issue, and estimated 350,000 also have a problem with the electric water pump. The electric motor may stop and overheat. In certain cases, Toyota says the supply circuit may fuse and prevent the hybrid system from functioning.

Toyota does say that no injuries have been reported from these issues, and that recall information will be sent out starting in December.
