Toyota is celebrating “Back to the Future Day” in the most epic way imaginable. They have created a modern replica of the awesome Toyota pickup truck that Marty McFly owned in the movie series. The truck is based on the new 2016 Tacoma, but it features a huge collection of special custom parts that you won’t find anywhere else. All based on the truck in the film, this new Tacoma has custom tubular bumpers front and rear, a lift kit, big BG Goodrich rubber, and the iconic yellow-shielded KC lights.

While those changes are cool, they aren’t the most interesting. To make this new Tacoma look as much like the original as possible, Toyota gave the truck headlights and taillights that are created to look like the classics, complete with large amber sections. They also put the old school huge TOYOTA script across the tailgate and added vintage “4WD” mud flaps. They even painted the truck with the same color black paint they were using in 1985.

When the rest of the world is busy talking about DeLoreans for the day, Toyota remembered the real automotive star of the show, and they gave us a great recreation. Best yet, Toyota built three of them, and put them around the country. There is one in Los Angeles, one in New York, and one in Dallas. If you can’t make it to one of those three cities, just click the gallery link below to see more than a dozen high-resolution photos.
