Infiniti has dabbled with the idea of creating a compact luxury car for many years now, but the Japanese company has finally made things official. The all-new Q30 will debut at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, and it will be in showrooms to buy before the year is out.

The car is currently out running across Europe in a last minute effort to ensure that everything feels and performs to Infiniti’s standards. We expect the new car to look very close to the Q30 concept that was already unveiled, with very little changes to the exterior.

The Frankfurt show happens in mid September, and European markets should see the car on sale before the year is out. Other markets will soon follow.

If you have yet to get acquainted with this little machine, watch this wonderful interview with the brand’s Executive Design Director, Alfonso Albaisa.
