Looks like Suzuki, the little brand that could, is running into more trouble. Just weeks after announcing its bankruptcy and plans to exit the US auto market, we now have word that there has been a recall.

The recall affects a narrow band of 2007 Suzuki XL7 SUVs sold or registered in Arizona, Nevada, Texas and California. The affected cars were manufactured between June 13, 2006 and December 22, 2006. There is an issue in which the plastic supply or return port on the fuel pump can crack and leak. Leaking fuel can lead to large fireballs.

Suzuki has yet to release a notification timeline for owners, but if you are worried that you own one of the estimated 2,830 defective cars, you can give American Suzuki a ring at 1-714-996-7040.
