Detroit is coming up hard and fast. Almost every new launch is happening on Monday, and we are going to be there to cover it live it for you guys. To get everyone ready, we decided to give you a quick rundown of some of the more interesting machines you are likely to see. This is by no means a definitive list, but it covers a pretty large bulk of the big names and cars. Be sure to hit those comments and let us know what you are most excited about.

Lincoln Continental

This is the biggest launch for Lincoln in over a decade. The luxury brand is fast fading from relevance in the market, and the team over at Ford is hoping to kickstart sales and bring some swagger to the brand with this new sedan. Judging by the concept that has been kicking around, this new sedan is big, sexy, and full of the kind of comfort and features that only American cars have ever seemed to manage.

In short, it looks like Lincoln is finally making a real Lincoln again.

Mercedes E-Class

merc e-class

Lincoln isn’t the only brand bringing a new luxury machine to the North American International Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz has been teasing it for weeks, but we will finally see the full unveil of the new E-Class family. Expect a style that brings it closer in line with the new S-Class and C-Class, and keep your eyes peeled for the inevitably announced AMG version with its twin-turbo V8

BMW M2

2017 BMW M2 (37)

The BMW M2 coupe is the sports car that enthusiasts have been waiting for, one in which you can take to dinner with your special someone on Friday and thrash at a track on Saturday. Packing a throaty twin-turbo inline 6 and your choice of DCT 7-speed or a 6-speed manual the car promises to be good proper fun. Packed full of gadgets in typical M Division fashion, we’re excited to see the car stretch its legs.

Lexus LC500

As the legend goes, curiosity killed the cat. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t curious on this one. Some say it will host the 500 hp v8 from the RC-F, and some have a hunch that it will feature an all new twin turbo V8. All we can do is speculate until the unveiling. Lexus continues to tease us and refuses to comment on the chassis, leaving us all in anticipation of what’s to come.

What we do have is a six second teaser of exhaust note that Lexus dropped. Press play on the video above to hear it.

Chrysler Town and Country

All that can be said is it’s about time. The Town and Country has been in desperate need of a makeover for quite some time now. We’re told that it will have a large range of drivetrain options that will include gas, hybrid, and AWD. This is wonderful news for soccer moms all over the country, soon you’ll be able to get your kids to school kicking and screaming in even the worst of conditions. It’s nice to see some attention drawn from crossovers and back to the traditional minivan.

This is not an officially announced unveil, which FCA giving us the “new product coming” line, but the mules have been seen running around, and its the oldest product in the portfolio right now. We don’t see them showing off anything else.

Hyundai Genesis G90

Genesis Brand Launches its First Model, G90

Hyundai is finally getting its feet wet with a separate luxury division and this will be the flagship car that will also be replacing the Equus. If looks are any indicator, the Germans will be shaking in their boots when this car hits the streets.. Featuring real Italian leather, wood trim, and a wide range of drivetrain options, the Korean company is taking a large step up in the luxury world. Expect this one to make waves at its unveiling.

Acura Precision Concept Coupe

Acura Precision

With the NSX being released in the coming year it’s expected that Acura will look to fill a performance slot a little further down the lineup. All we have is a basic and mysterious rendering that looks handsome in profile. Can Acura pull off a luxury performance coupe with the luxury and speed necessary to challenge the likes of the Jaguar XE and BMW 3 Series?
