Audi drivers have good reason to be happy: once again in 2010, they are profiting from the best insurance ratings in their competitive field. The German Insurance Association (GDV) once again awarded the brand first-class ratings for crash characteristics and ease of repair – across the entire model range. And this in turn means particularly low insurance premiums for the driver.

Compared with the competition, the fully comprehensive insurance for Audi models is up to four classes lower, which saves the driver up to 922 euros per year. Particularly impressive in this respect were the new models from AUDI AG – the premium subcompact A1 and the A7 Sportback. The GDV rewarded the models’ crash characteristics test results even before their market launch with an especially good classification.

The outstanding ratings are thanks to Audi’s high quality standards, which begin right from the initial design phase. Efficient bumper systems and protective zones for the front and rear sections play a key role in optimum crash characteristics at Audi: they protect the body and expensive parts and thus reduce repair costs. This is a factor that insurance companies like to reward.
