It doesn’t matter if you prefer a truck that steals glances as it rolls down the street, or you’d rather be doors deep in the brush tackling a trail, Chevy has a new version of the Colorado that will interest you. Chevy just announced that the 2016 Colorado will be available in two new special edition models; Midnight Edition and Z71 Trail Boss. Each truck is aimed a special kind of buyer, but of them are amazing things to look at. Is one of these two new trucks the perfect choice for you?

2016 Chevrolet Colorado Special Edition (4)

The Midnight Edition is for the owner that wants to have the best looking truck on the road. Just like the time of day it was named after, this truck only comes in black. Matching that black paint is a set of black 18-inch wheels, black Bowtie emblems, black grille, black spray-in bedliner, and a black soft-tonneau cover. It looks mean, it looks sinister, and it looks ready to party.

The Z71 Trail Boss trades menacing looks for a set of off-road ready parts. Black fender flares and tube-steps match the new 17-inch black wheels and black Bowtie emblems, but the best part of this package is the new sport bar. Not only does the black-finished sport bar look amazing with its vented side-plates that feature the Colorado name, but the bar comes equipped with a full set of LED trail lights. Of course a spray-in bedliner and all-weather floor mats come as standard as well.

Both special edition models are only available on extended or crew cab bodies. The Midnight Edition is only available on LT trim trucks, and for obvious reasons, the Z71 Trail Boss is only available on Z71 trucks. Either model can be ordered with the 2.5L or 3.6L gasoline engines, as well as the new 2.8L Duramax diesel.

No pricing has been announced yet, but orders are going to start this fall.
