Camaro’s gone wild? Chevy’s new Camaro Z/28 test mule has been spotted in the wild and photos are getting blasted across the internet. Well now a video has turned up of this new sports car attempting to conquer the Green Hell. At first glance it seems that Chevy is building a true world-beating machine. The car stays flat over corners, it makes raunchy V8 noises in a way that only the Camaro can.

But halfway through things go wrong and the Z/28 plows into the wall.

There has been a lot of speculation as to what caused the problem, but our money is on a special new “Mustang Mode” designed specifically for leaving “cars and coffee” events. Of course, it could just be an ABS failure, but where is the fun in that? All jokes aside, it does appear that the car and passengers survived mostly unscathed as they drove the car off the track and into a safe position after the incident.

Watch the video and tell us what you think. Aside from the wreck, we’re excited to see the new Z/28 stretch its legs without camouflage on. The pony car races that once ruled the late sixties and early seventies have shown up yet again as Chevy and Ford trade blows on handling courses between the Z/28 and the GT350R, and it appears that GM was attempting to rear back for a swing. Patch it up boys, you’ve got work to do and the GT350R is sitting in its stable taunting you.
