General Motors has informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about recalling 7,601 police patrol vehicles due to problems relating to transmission.
The affected vehicles were built in Australia and imported to North America, and include the 2011-13 Chevrolet Caprice PPV.
According to the automaker, the vehicle’s display panel may show the wrong gear.
GM is going to send a service kit to dealers to fix the problem.
