Honda has issued a recall for nearly 46,000 Fits over issues with the electronic stability control system’s software.

Reportedly, the ESP software can allow the Fit to tilt too far during hard cornering which could lead to decreased traction and cause a loss of control.

Honda says the recall includes 2012 and 2013 Fit Sport models. Roughly 2,000 of the Fits are registered in Canada with the remaining registered in the U.S.

Owners will begin being notified in May about having the issued fixed free of charge. Thankfully, there are no known accidents or injuries related to the issue.
