As innovative, smart and captivating the Hyundai Genesis Sedan is, it has always been rather simple. Making things even more elementary will be the 2013 model year that will bring with it an even easier buying process. No longer available is the older 4.6 liter V8 option leaving just the base 3.8 liter Lambda V6 and brawny 5.0 powerplants. Given the six cylinder’s recent boost in output due to the addition of direct injection as well as its new pairing with the eight speed automatic, the base motivation is rather intriguing. With less to choice from, consumers looking for a solid and inexpensive luxury cruiser might now need to make just one simple stop.

When it hits the market, the 2013 Genesis Sedan will be offered four ways. The base 3.8 liter will be available in three different flavors while opting out for eight cylinders will gain the loaded out R-Spec. To accompany the smaller model line, a new eight inch touchscreen display will come with the 3.8 Technology and 5.0. A more intuitive user interface, voice recognition and layout will work hand-in-hand with a new 64GB hard drive. Also newly available is Hyundai’s Blue Link Telematics which will come with the Ultimate Navigation Package. Mechanically, the 2013 Genesis Sedan 3.8 and 5.0 are unchanged from last year.
