Another day, another new Mini. On the docket today is the John Cooper Works Mini Countryman. What separates this from the myriad of other cars in Mini’s brand lineup is the first inclusion of the ALL4 AWD system in a JCW car, and a revised engine pumping out 218 horsepower. That last fact is especially important because it makes this the most powerful Mini ever offered for sale. This is also the first 5-door JCW car ever offered.

The car comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but an automatic with Steptronic and paddle shifters is available for those drivers who are afraid to use their left foot. The standard AWD system is used to increase grip and performance, and when coupled to the new engine, MINI states this Countryman will hit 62 mph in a respectable 7 seconds flat.

If you want a Mini, but life demands some practicality, the Countryman fits the bill. If you need some speed to math that practicality, JCW now has the fix. Check out the huge gallery of high-res shots below to get a look at the new car.
