Lamborghini went nuts for its 50th anniversary in 2013. It held lots parties, sent out lots of fancy anniversary news pieces, and it even created some very special celebratory cars. One of those celebration pieces was the Veneno Roadster. A carbon-fiber beast with a 6.5-liter V12, no roof, and no compromises. The car weighs less than 3300 pounds, and with 750 horsepower, it would hit 60 in less than three seconds and continue up to a top speed of 220 mph.

The car may be based on the Aventador, but it shares very little with its donor. The bodywork is completely unique, as is the interior. There were only nine of these cars ever produced for customers and they carried a price of nearly $4-million.

This is Lamborghini at its purest. A perfect choice for this week’s #SupercarSunday.
