The Nissan Juke-R is the kind of toy we can only dream about. Taking the powertrain from the epic GT-R and cramming in under the fenders of quirky Juke is utter magic. Word about this little franken-hatch has been sparse since Nissan announced they would produce a limited run, but now we have new to report! The very first production Juke-R is ready for delivery to one very lucky, very wealthy, customer.

There is even more news, this one is more powerful than the original concept. While the older concept made use of an earlier GT-R engine, the production model uses the same 545 horsepower engine from the new 2013 GT-R that we drove. That is a healthy bump of 65 horsepower over the older engine. Nissan says that this new level of power will propel the Juke-R to a top speed of 170 mph. 0-60 time is even more impressive with Nissan claiming a sub-3 second time.

We do have to say that while the internal of this production model Juke-R are a major improvement over the concept, we think the white paint is a move in the wrong direction. The sinister matte black paint fit the idea of the car a bit better than this pristine ivory.
