The Nissan Versa Note is a great car for anyone looking for a practical and reliable machine without spending an arm and a leg to buy it. It has a decent amount of standard equipment, plenty of interior space and it gets solid fuel economy to boot. If the Note has a weakness though, it’s styling. The generic shape is inoffensive, but it does little to make to the car desirable.

That all changes now though, as Nissan just unveiled the new 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR at the Chicago auto show.

The new, more aggressive front end features smoked headlamps, black chrome trim pieces and standard foglights. New dark 16-inch alloy mirrors, revised mirrors and side sills give the profile view some extra visual punch, and the whole package is rounded out by a nice roof spoiler.

The interior also sees some extra additions with a leather wrapped steering wheel, a piano black center stack and some sweet new seats that have a black faux suede material on them and bright orange accents.

Nissan didn’t announce a price, but we wouldn’t expect the price premium to be more than $1500 over a comparably equipped standard Versa Note.
