The BMW X3 has been a monstrous success for the German maker. Much like the Porsche Cayanne, the X3 was viewed as a blasphemous pile of garbage, but it has raked in thousands upon thousands of sales for the Bavarians.

It makes sense then that BMW would do anything it could to keep its tiny cash cow relevant and fresh. With that in mind, take a look at the new 2015 BMW x3. This is a mild refresh for the X3, only bringing minor visual changes, but BMW has actually changed quite a bit under the bonnet.

The first major change is the addition of a RWD model. The sDrive28i, uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and it ditches the AWD system in favor of a reduced price. If you want the cheapest X3 you can buy, it’s this one.

For my money though, the biggest news about the new X3 is its available diesel engine. Yes, an oil-burning X3. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The diesel is only sold with AWD, but still expect fuel economy ratings of around 35 mpg on the highway.

If you are interested in this new X3 take a look at our gallery below and start counting your cash. It should hit showrooms in the next few months with a starting price that is just a hair over $39k.
