The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recal for the 2007 to 2011 Toyota Tundra today which makes a total of nine recalls for the particular generation truck. This time, the recall is for a faulty tire pressure monitoring system. The mis-calibrated systems will not light up despite the tires being under-inflated and the problem will be fixed free of charge. The recall will affect about 1,629 trucks, mostly in the Southeast.

Though it might not be that big of an issue, this recall does make the total number of recalls rather high. The truck has only been on the road for five years but nine recalls, some of which are much more serious, is just too much for a vehicle. If Toyota prides itself on quality, the Tundra needs to shape up.
