The new Mad Max video game is coming hard and fast. With a release date of September 1st, it is the first big “car guy” game to come out this season, beating big names like Forza to the shelves. In preparation for the upcoming launch, Avalanche Studios has given use a new trailer for their wasteland journey, and it is more glorious than you can imagine. Nearly three minutes of fast cars, explosions, mysterious desert men, and violence. The game looks to be taking special cues from the new movie’s character design, but it has its own story to tell.

Mad Max - Magnum Opus

The video itself is a little mature in mature, so be aware before going in. This game is rated M for mature audiences, and the trailer is as well. There is a lot of blood, stabbing, impaling, and other various forms of human destruction tied into all the cars that are rolling and exploding around the screen. There is a hint at the story as well, and it seems to involve Max attempting to take over various settlements around the wasteland with the guidance of some type of desert witch doctor.

I was excited for this game when it was announced, and I only got more excited after seeing the new film. With this trailer, I am now fidgety with excitement. September 1st can’t get here soon enough.

Mad Max will launch on the first of September, 2015 on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC
