Navigon introduced a lower-priced navigation app for the iPhone with the launch of Navigon MyRegion, which at an introductory price of $24.99 accesses maps for a single region of the U.S. Consumers purchase access to additional maps from the iPhone for an introductory $12.99.

Prices rise April 12 to $29.99 and $14.99, respectively. Three regional maps are available for the Eastern, Central and Western U.S.

The MyRegion price compares with $79.99 for Navigon’s MobileNavigator app, which accesses maps for the entire U.S. The full slate of U.S. maps also comes with MyRegion, but the MyRegion price includes access to maps of only one region, with access to the other regions enabled after paying for them.

The company will display its navigation apps for smartphones at CTIA Wireless 2010 in Las Vegas.
