The world of the National Football League is currently in a ruckus about one man. A former Volunteer, the quarterback star known as Peyton Manning might be getting ready to sign over from being a Colt to another. One team is located in his old home state of Tennessee and while fans speculate as to where Manning will end up, Nissan is helping the Titans get their man by offering him his very own Titan. Considering Nissan’s full size pickup calls Franklin, Tenn. home, it makes sense that the automaker would want to assist their North American headquarters anyway possible.

“The Nissan Titan V-8 engine is built in Tennessee,” said Brian Carolin, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Nissan North America. “And even more poetically for Mr. Manning, the Titan itself is assembled in a place called Canton.” If Manning takes the offer, he won’t receive just any Titan but the ultimate Pro-4X. With 385 lb-ft of torque from its beefy 5.6 liter DOHC V8, the Titan can do just about anything a truck needs to do. Like the quarterback himself and unlike some rivals, the Nissan isn’t just brawn and no brains as its ergonomically correct and well made. The company has made mention that they will build Manning a truck regardless of who he signs for, but even still, the deal seems sweeter if a Titan drove a Titan.

“While we are in no position to sign you to any particular NFL franchise, we at Nissan North America want to make you a Titan – a 2012 Nissan Titan – as a gesture of gratitude recognizing your great accomplishments and philanthropic contributions to our national community,” said Nissan in an open letter to Manning.
