The Jeep Wrangler is about as iconic as they come and today marked a big day for the legendary Wrangler as the one-millionth JK model rolled off the assembly line.

Both Chrysler and UAW employees celebrated the event as they looked back that the growth of the Chrysler and Jeep brands in post bankruptcy. Much credit was given to the JK Unlimited model and the recent interior and powertrain upgrades for the vehicle’s expanding popularity.

As you might suspect, the 1,000,000th Wrangler was a fully-loaded Wrangler Unlimited decked out in Rubicon 10th Anniversary trim and draped in black paint with the three piece hard top. The JK will be shipped to a customer in Sarasota, Florida.

The Toledo, Ohio plant has been building the JK since it’s induction in the 2007 model year and is the birthplace of every JK worldwide.
