Acura announced today that October 2010 monthly sales were 11,011— a 17.1 percent increase based on daily selling rate*. Collectively, Acura year-to-date sales reached 107,399 that represent a 25.3 percent increase over 2009 sales. October marks the ninth consecutive month that Acura sales have experienced a double-digit increase.

“While the luxury vehicle market has been difficult for all manufacturers, Acura continues to increase sales significantly,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. “Voted the Best Luxury Brand in ALG’s 2010 Residual Value Award ratings, the Acura lineup proves to be a smart choice for luxury buyers.”

Acura monthly sales were led by the MDX luxury SUV with 3,945 units sold, an increase of 6.7 percent compared to 2009 sales. Sales of the newly redesigned RDX crossover SUV remain strong with 1,328 units sold in October, a 44.7 percent increase. Acura total truck sales for October were 5,467 which represent an 18.5 percent increase.

Acura car sales were again led by the TL performance luxury sedan with 3,042 units sold, an increase of 25.6 percent. TSX sports sedan sales tallied 2,251 units, an increase of 1.6 percent. Acura total car sales for October were 5,544 which represent a 15.8 percent increase.
