Aside from the freshly minted F-Type, Jaguar’s youngest vehicle is currently the XJ, introduced in 2009. So how does an automaker with an aging lineup keep people interested? More power is a good place to start.

After the impressively fast XKR-S was introduced, Jaguar has decided to cram the 550 horsepower supercharged V8 into the XF sedan to create the XFR-S.

Aside from the name and engine, and a 200 car limit for the US, we don’t have nay major details. All Jaguar has given us is the photo you see above. The car will be unveiled shortly at the LA Auto Show, and we expect a new more aggressive body kit, upgraded wheels and brakes, and a much higher price tag. The photo does show us exposed carbon fiber on the front splitter, so a lighter curb weight could be in the cards as well.

As soon as Jaguar releases the flood gates of information, we will be more than happy to update everyone with all the details. So keep your eyes here on Autotalk for more news as it becomes available.
