Land Rover and NHTSA are issuing a recall notice for certain Evoque and LR2 models. The issue revolves around a brake caliper retaining bolt. Apparently the bolts may have been torqued incorrectly and the brake caliper may become detached. This may cause loss of braking power or cause damage to the wheel and surrounding components.

The interesting thing is that the recall only affects 70 vehicles all built on the same day; June 11, 2012. A quick check of the calendar makes us think someone just had a bad case of the Mondays.

The recall notices will begin no later than January 18, 2013 and owners can head to their dealer for a free fix.
