The best way to step up your racing game is to add more realistic vehicle control with a wheel and pedal combination. I may have praised Forza Motorsport 6 for its dramatically improved controller feel, but nothing can replace a traditional wheel setup. Currently there are only a small handful of high-quality force-feedback racing wheels that are compatible with the Xbox One, but their ranks grow by one with the announcement of Logitech’s new G920 racing wheel.

Logitech’s old wheel, the G27 has long been held as the standard for creating a great racing wheel, so it’s pretty big news to see the company has a new and updated version coming that is designed specifically for the new Xbox One console.

Compared to the old G27 it replaces, the new G920 has improved construction, a more powerful feedback motor, and a redesigned layout that looks to be much more user friendly. With the new control layout, Logitech has removed the manual shifter attachment that was included in every G27 box. That shifter has also been updated and is now being sold as a separate add-on.

Sadly, while this wheel is designed for the Xbox One, it is not a wireless wheel. Instead it works across USB, so you will have to run a wire to the Xbox One to use it. As a bonus, this wheel is also 100-percent compatible with Windows, so you can use it for all of your PC gaming needs. The wheel itself carries a price tag of $399.99 and the Driving Force Shifter add-on is another $59.99.

Logitech is taking pre-orders now, and they should start shipping in the next few weeks.
