China’s National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), which acquired the bankrupt Swedish carmaker Saab in 2012, said that it will would lay off up to 200 staff at its Saab car plant in Sweden, Reuters reported.

It is likely that production will resume anytime soon, according to the news report.

Due to a shortage of money, NEVS halted already-low output in May.

In August, NEVS obtained protection from creditors through a Swedish court while trying to secure funding.
