We have yet to drive the new Toyobaru twins, but if our fellow auto writers are to believed, it is the best thing to happen for enthusiast drivers since the original Miata. Just like that Mazda roadster though, people are wishing there was a bit more power on tap.

Hoping to quell the masses, and perhaps persuade those looking at the Subaru, Car and Driver is reporting that TRD is working on a supercharger kit for the little flat-four. There are not details on the kit, but we would only expect modest upgrades in power; think 35 horsepower. The biggest gain would be the flatter torque curve that would make the FR-S much more responsive.

If the thought of buying a Scion is just too much, the rumor mill has word of a Turbo BRZ from Subaru. Things are getting very interesting for the budget enthusiast, and we approve.
